Watersports enthusiasts from beginner to advanced will enjoy our wide soundfront beach and great conditions for launching your kayak or windsurfer at or near your campsite.
One and Two Room Camping Cabins are available and feature air conditioned comfort. A charcoal grill, picnic table and outside water are provided. Campers provide their own blankets, pillows and linens.

| All rates are based on 2 adults and 2 Children (ages 12 & under). Rates based on one vehicle per site. Cancellation Policy: Minimum of 3 Working Days notice prior to reservation date is required for deposit refund (minus 10% service fee). Monthly rates available on request. Additional Charges: Additional Child (12 & under) with parent: $3 each; Additional Adult (age 13 & over): $6 each. Sound Front Full Hookups: Additional $3 per night. 50 Amp Service: Additional $4.00 per night. Note: Cable TV available at some sites at no additional charge. Use of AC or Electric heat at no additional charge. Please call ahead. Reservations encouraged. Reservations require a deposit of one night's stay. Group rates available upon request. (Example: Scout groups and Youth groups). Rates during special events will be charged as holiday rate. Pets welcome (on leash, and limit of 2 pets per site). Pet fee charged per visit. Complete list of pet rules available upon request. All camping fees are non-refundable. Cash, Major Credit Cards, and Debit Cards accepted. ATM on premise. Discounts - AAA, CAA, Good Sam and AARP. Valid membership card MUST BE PRESENTED and requests for discounts must be made at time of registration and check-in. Only one discount allowed per stay. Discounts apply to the regular daily rate. Discounts not available during holidays and special events. Additional restrictions may apply. An Outdoor Recreation Center Watersports equipment rentals available on site. Call for rental equipment information and rates. Watersport rental package available to campers and non-campers. Visitor launch fee $5.00 per day. Call for details. Windsurfing and kite surfing instruction available on site. Kayak rentals also available. Map of Hatteras Island [Click] Frisco Woods Campground is on Hatteras Island on highway 12 between Buxton and Hatteras Village. If you come from the south by ferry, take the Cedar Island Ferry to Ocracoke Island and then the Ocracoke to Hatteras Island free ferry. We are about 4 miles north of the Village of Hatteras on highway 12. If you come from the north we are about 5 miles south of Buxton (the home of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse) on highway 12. |
